Amber Cardinal joins St. John’s as Choir Director

Amber Cardinal is joining St. John's as our new Choir Director for the 9:30 service this fall! Amber is a Woodbury resident and a 2019 graduate of Western Connecticut State University.  She earned a B.S. in Music Education with a Vocal Concentration, magna cum laude, while also being enrolled in the Honors Program.  She completed her student teaching assignments at Hill and Plain Elementary School in New Milford, and Swift Middle School in Oakville. Elisabeth von Trapp in Concert

St. John's Episcopal Church is delighted to present guitarist-vocalist Elisabeth von Trapp in concert on Sunday, October 6, at 4:00pm. Tickets are not required, but advance reservations are available online at EventBrite.   A minimum $10 is suggested as a free-will donation -- to be given online, at the door, or during intermission.  10% of the proceeds will benefit the Music Program at St. John's. 239 Origami Butterflies -program follow up

See 239 origami butterflies hanging in the light shining through stained glass windows. Like a snowflake, each butterfly is unique. It is folded by hand from a Sunday service leaflet printed with special prayer lists and praises. Listen to music that fills the air space. Like Tibetan prayer flags fluttering in the Himalayan air, the mass of butterflies release their prayers and praises to be carried by the music to the upper beams of the Gothic space. 2019 Annual Meeting • Reunión anual de 2019

The Annual Meeting of St. John's Parish will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019, as part of a combined, bilingual service at 10:00am. There will be no services at 9:30am or 11:30am that day.
