Spring Concert: Waterbury Youth Chorus & Bravo Waterbury

On Sunday, May 1, 2016, the Waterbury Youth Chorus and Bravo Waterbury! performed a spring concert at St. John's Church to an appreciative audience of about 75 people. Each group sang several pieces followed by the combined choirs singing "Imagine" by John Lennon.
 
The concert program included the following songs:

Sunday Jazz Coffeehouse Concert – April 24, 2016

Join our Sunday Jazz Ensemble for a special Coffeehouse Concert on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 3:00pm, at St. John's. The program will feature original compositions and arrangements of familiar jazz standards. Proceeds will benefit the music program at St. John's Parish! “An Angel” donates $250,000 to St. John’s
“Un ángel” dona $250,000 a la Iglesia de San Juan

Angels walk amongst us. On Friday, April 15, someone came into the church office saying they wanted to give a donation to St. John's instead of including it in their Last Will & Testament. The person, who wishes to remain anonymous for now, said, "After all, I could live another 30 or 40 years and thought you could use it now." The donor presented St. John's with a check in the amount of $250,000.
