Amber Cardinal joins St. John’s as Choir Director

Amber Cardinal is joining St. John's as our new Choir Director for the 9:30 service this fall! Amber is a Woodbury resident and a 2019 graduate of Western Connecticut State University.  She earned a B.S. in Music Education with a Vocal Concentration, magna cum laude, while also being enrolled in the Honors Program.  She completed her student teaching assignments at Hill and Plain Elementary School in New Milford, and Swift Middle School in Oakville. This afternoon's performance is a showcase of the compositions featured on Rosemary Minkler's debut album, entitled Prospectus. This self-produced album features all original music performed by Rosemary on piano and vocals, Jeff Moro on bass, and Eric Hallenbeck on drums.  Rosemary has been a member of St. John's since birth, and leads an ensemble of musicians at the church's monthly jazz music service.
