Doris Hollenstein, Donna Gervickas, and Sharon Samela will be honored by the Naugatuck Valley Project for their service to the needy in Waterbury. The Prophet Micah calls us to love according to God’s standards: “What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8<\/p>\n

The Micah Award honors local heroes who live out Micah’s words. Doris, Donna, and Sharon have worked with devotion and energy to serve the poor of Waterbury for many years. Although each of them has insisted that she does not “deserve” recognition for doing good work, their humility can not erase the amount of work they have accomplished.<\/p>\n

This years awards will be given out during a special dinner at 5 pm on Saturday 15 November, at Grand Oak Villa in Oakville. Cost is $45 per person and $400 for a table of 10. Please consider joining Doris, Donna and Sharon as they are honored.<\/p>\n

El Premio de Miqueas<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
