The Prophet Micah calls us to love according to God&#8217;s standards: &#8220;What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.&#8221; Micah 6:8<\/p>\n<p>The Micah Award honors local heroes who live out Micah&#8217;s words. Doris, Donna, and Sharon have worked with devotion and energy to serve the poor of Waterbury for many years. Although each of them has insisted that she does not &#8220;deserve&#8221; recognition for doing good work, their humility can not erase the amount of work they have accomplished.<\/p>\n<p>This years awards will be given out during a special dinner at 5 pm on Saturday 15 November, at Grand Oak Villa in Oakville. Cost is $45 per person and $400 for a table of 10.
