The killings were racially motivated.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps you know that the African Methodist Episcopal Churches are our spiritual cousins, founded by Richard Allen in Philadelphia the nineteenth century. We will have services as usual this Sunday, June 21, and will pray for the victims and the parish.<\/p>\n<p>I wonder if a group of some of our parish members would be willing to go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mtoliveamez.org\">Mt. Olive AME Zion Church<\/a> this weekend to worship with them as a sign of prayerful solidarity against hate? Steve Nagy has offered to attend their worship service, which begins at 11:00am.
