“This Christmas” with the St. John’s Jazz Ensemble

"And this Christmas, will be A very special Christmas, for me..." December 18, 2016, was Jazz Sunday at St. John's, Waterbury.  Our Jazz Ensemble, which plays one Sunday each month, entertained the congregation with a lively version of Donny Hathaway's 1970 hit as the postlude to the service.  Performing "This Christmas" are Samantha Feliciano (guest vocalist), Keenan Asbridge (trumpet), Tim Lewis (saxophone), Michael Louchen (bass), Rosemary Minkler (piano), and Matt Spencer (drums). Beatles Sunday is back! (Domingo con Los Beatles!) Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

We are repeating the very popular Beatles Sunday at the 10:00 service on June 14, 2015. Come to church and enjoy the wonderful music of the best rock group ever. Anthems and congregational hymns will be selected from the repertoire of songs by John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Hymns will include "Here Comes The Sun," "The Long and Winding Road," and "Let it Be."
