Knit 1, Purl 2 (Prayer Shawl Ministry): The group meets at 9:30 am on the 2nd Saturday of every month at the church for companionship, conversation, prayer and even a little knitting. Members knit at home and whenever and wherever the spirit moves them. In addition to providing shawls to those in need of comfort, the group makes hats, mittens, and scarves to warm the hearts and souls of the guests of the soup kitchen and children of the greater Waterbury area. They also make baby hats for hospitals. If you would like information, please contact St. John's
