Report |
Reviewed.
Treasurer suggested that funding for the 3 parishioners (Harriet, Steve,
Lorene) to attend the Washington Conference come from the Off Budget Capital
Fund – not from the Memorial Fund as recommended and approved at
the September Vestry meeting. Approved and treasurer’s report accepted
as printed. |

Committee Report |
- The committee has decided

be appointed to begin making recommendations.
- Planting in the Close will
be done at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday 10/19/02.

| Senior
Warden's Report |
- Snow removal – the
Finance Committee has recommended approval for contracting with Matty’s
to provide snow removal this winter. Motion made, seconded, and unanimously
approved.
- Sr. Warden has received
3 complaints regarding the letter in Good News concerning church pledges.
Insurance – a meeting was held with Jack Spaeth and Don MacDougal
to explain to us why our insurance is so high. Mainly due to insurance
being self funded. Cost summary shared with Vestry. There is nothing
we can do to change this and in comparison to other insurances it’s
very reasonable.
- Property insurance –
a lot of factors have attributed to the increase in cost (9/11, stock
market problems, etc.)
- Bazaar – Concerns
have been expressed to the Senior Warden about beer being served at
the bazaar/fair. Discussion held with strong concerns regarding security
and liability. Motion made that the Vestry recommend
to the Bazaar coordinator that the Bazaar not serve alcoholic beverages.
All in favor.
