SHROVE TUESDAY (February 16)
On the day before the beginning of Lent it is a tradition of the Church to indulge the senses. In some cultures, this period prior to the austerity of a Lenten Discipline has been expanded into an extended period of “Carnival”. (See Decadent Potluck above!!!) At St. John’s, we gather on Shrove Tuesday (“shrove’ is from “shriven” which means having confessed sins and been forgiven”) for pancakes, sausages and hash.
5 p.m.—7 p.m. Pancake Supper ($4/adults; $1/ children and elders)

CHORISTER ACADEMY CHOCOLATE SALE
We will be taking orders for Easter chocolates made by
Fascia's Chocolates of Waterbury soon
We will be offering the same selections as last year.
All will be in milk chocolate.
So watch for the order forms on February 28th and place your order!
Final orders must be in by Sunday, March 28th,
so don't delay--support our choristers!
